Construction at Spaceport Nova Scotia resumed in March, and the first phase of civil works is now nearing completion, preparing the site for its first permanent facilities.
The Utility Hub construction package is now out for tender, with the procurement process being led by Lindsay Construction. Once built, the facility will provide power, communications, and other essential services to future launch pads.
Closely following the Utility Hub is the Site Entrance Facility, which will replace the temporary trailer currently serving as the spaceport's access point. Located between the Town of Canso and the Sable Wind Farm, the facility will serve as the primary entrance control point for Spaceport Nova Scotia. Developed in collaboration with the Municipality of the District of Guysborough, it will provide security and access control for both the wind farm and the outer perimeter of the launch site. The design package is nearing completion and is expected to be tendered in the coming weeks.
Design and planning are also advancing for the launch vehicle integration facility and additional road extensions to future launch pads, marking continued progress toward establishing Canada's sovereign launch capability and first commercial orbital launch site.
